Symbolism
The colors crimson and yellow are those of the Ordnance Corps.  The six sided figure represents an isometric view of a box or container in allusion to the storage function of the Command.  The sun at the top, appearing as though within the container, is symbolic of the energy of nuclear weapons which are stored by the Command.  The five rays represent the five Special Ammunition Depots in the Command.  The stylized wrench represents the maintenance capability of the organization and the key represents the supply function.  The star on the bow of the key and the yellow border completely enclosing the insignia are symbolic of the Military Police units and the protection which they provide to the Command.
